The number of students applying to Dartmouth is on the rise, up more than 6 percent over last year.
The first 483 members of the Class of 2019 received offers of admission today as Dartmouth notified early decision applicants of their acceptance.
More accepted students have chosen to enroll at Dartmouth than in any previous year, pushing the College's "yield" to 54.5 percent, up from last May's yield of 48.6 percent.
Concluding the selection process that began in early November, Dartmouth has offered 2,220 students acceptance to the Class of 2018.
Dartmouth has admitted 469 students to next year’s entering Class of 2018 from a pool of 1,678 early decision applicants. The prospective students were notified today, December 11, via a secure website.
