The name change coincides with the launch of a redesigned communications website, which has been revised and upgraded to a make it easier for people across the institution and beyond to contact and work with Dartmouth’s communications staff.

“The new name makes clear what we do and our improved website provides an easier way for both internal and external folks to get in touch, share information and ideas for possible news coverage, and ask for guidance,” says Justin Anderson, the College’s vice president for communications.

The communications office, which is located at 7 Lebanon St., collaborates across the institution with faculty, students, and staff and with members of the media to tell Dartmouth’s many stories to a variety of audiences using a number of platforms, including the College news site, other Dartmouth websites, social media, and print publications.

Three teams in the office work to support major institutional initiatives, news, events, and campus communications. The Creative Services team tells stories visually, using video, photography, and graphic design. The News and Editorial Services group writes stories for Dartmouth Now, the College’s news site, and for other Dartmouth web properties and print publications. And the Media Relations team engages with print, digital, and broadcast media to generate accurate, timely, and compelling news about Dartmouth.
