In his latest post for NPR’s blog 13.7 Cosmos & Culture, Professor Marcelo Gleiser says global values can still be part of a more secular society.

“To be sure, America remains a largely Christian nation at 70.6 percent,” says Gleiser. “But there is change afoot, which brings up important questions about the choices we make to find value and moral guidance in our lives. Central to these questions is an old one, familiar to secular humanists: Can a secular society be moral?”

Gleiser is the Appleton Professor of Natural Philosophy and a professor of physics and astronomy.
