Dartmouth and SiriusXM to Launch ‘The Briefing’

SiriusXM and the College today announced the launch of The Briefing Powered by Dartmouth College, a new radio show that dissects the history, facts, and perspectives shaping the week's news.

The weekly satellite radio show will be hosted by Michael Mastanduno, dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Nelson A. Rockefeller Professor of Government. He is the author of Introduction to International Relations: Enduring Questions and Contemporary Perspectives and Economic Containment: CoCom and the Politics of East-West Trade.

Broadcasting from campus, The Briefing will offer listeners an opportunity to engage with faculty experts and hear interviews with other distinguished scholars, alumni, and guests who can provide insights, background, and analysis of key cultural, social, and political issues. A subscription is needed to listen to the show.

“We are very excited about bringing Dartmouth classrooms to the world,” says President Phil Hanlon ’77. “Sharing the knowledge and experiences of our faculty through this partnership with SiriusXM enriches our traditional model of teaching and learning. I’m looking forward to listening to the robust, provocative, and important exchange of ideas.”
