Dartmouth Now takes note when faculty members weigh in on issues of the day. Here is today’s “Quoted”:

“More trade, more investment, more communications, more ideas flooding onto the island will, over the long term, bring change that benefits people on both sides of the straits,” says Professor John Carey in a Dartmouth Now story about the restoration of diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Cuba and the question of whether the U.S. should lift its Cuba trade embargo.

Carey is chair of the Department of Government and the John Wentworth Professor in the Social Sciences.
