Professor of Engineering Tillman Gerngross, Errik Anderson ’00, Tuck ’07, and MIT Professor Dane Wittrup, co-founders of the company Adimab, have been named New Hampshire Entrepreneurs of the Year by the New Hampshire High Technology Council. Founded in 2007 in Lebanon, N.H., Adimab develops therapeutic antibodies for the pharmaceutical industry. The award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of high technology business in New Hampshire.
Gerngross was also named New Hampshire Entrepreneur in 2007 for GlycoFi Inc. and is the only person to have received the award twice. Gerngross and GlycoFi co-founder Thayer School Dean Emeritus Charles Hutchinson served, respectively, as the company’s chief scientific officer and chief executive officer from its founding in 2000 until its acquisition by Merck & Co. Inc. in 2006 for $400 million, the largest sum ever reported for a privately held biotech.
