Dartmouth Now Is New Resource

Body

Welcome to Dartmouth Now, a fresh approach to sharing Dartmouth’s story—our news, ideas, events, and people—with audiences on campus and beyond.

You can browse the category tabs across the top of the site, click through the story tags, sift by date on the Archives page, and of course search for what you need. You’ll find multimedia features with video, audio, and photos throughout.

Dartmouth Now is also a place for dialogue. We’ve opened up the comment boxes and hope you’ll join the conversation. (Note that Dartmouth follows these guidelines for managing interaction on our websites.) Email or tweet a story using the share buttons under every headline. Or, go directly to Dartmouth’s YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr sites using the links in the column at right.

Stay connected by subscribing to the site. Sign up for daily or weekly email digests in the “Subscribe” tab at right. Register to receive immediate email notice of news stories on the For Media page. If you prefer RSS, feeds are available for the entire site or by topic.

The life of Dartmouth College is varied and vigorous. That’s why we’re throwing open the doors on Dartmouth Now. We have started by uniting all of the stories produced by Public Affairs staff (including those previously published on our Dartmouth News, Speaking of Dartmouth, Dartmouth Life, and Vox of Dartmouth websites).

Going forward, we’ll integrate content from across campus, bringing together more voices for a richer perspective and user experience. We welcome your suggestions and contributions: dartmouth.now@dartmouth.edu.

Developing Dartmouth Now has been a team project. The site is maintained by the Office of Public Affairs, and we thank everyone—many more names than can be listed here—who contributed input and effort. The members of our core creative team are:

  • Nancy Fontaine (Public Affairs)
  • Corinne Girouard (Public Affairs)
  • Martin Grant (Public Affairs)
  • Sarah Horton (Web Services)
  • Jermaine Johnson (Public Affairs)
  • Ellen Kanner (Web Services)
  • Susan Knapp (Public Affairs)
  • Sarah Memmi (Public Affairs)
Though we’re excited to see the site up and running, we know the work isn’t done. Dartmouth Now will continue to grow, evolve, and improve. Do you have an idea to share? What do you love about Dartmouth Now? What would you change? We look forward to hearing from you: dartmouth.now@dartmouth.edu.
