The Dartmouth Alumni Council celebrated its 200th meeting in May. Many former councilors and a dozen former council presidents were also on hand. Councilors held discussions with students, attended classes, participated in a student career networking event, and heard from President Jim Yong Kim and members of the Board of Trustees. They also received updates on athletics, admissions, strategic planning, and fundraising. Outgoing council president Janine Avner ’80 passed the gavel to president Tom Peisch ’70, and the councilors chose Danielle Dyer ’81, Tuck ’89, as president-elect. Martha Beattie ’76 and Rick Silverman ’81 were recognized with the Dartmouth Alumni Award.
