Join DeLesslin George-Warren for the premiere of his new work about the past, present and future of Catawba Nation. George-Warren floats between opera and lecture in this piece of five movements — "įhehęʰ," "hinu," "suksi," "warisare" and "manu." He brings together his personal experiences growing up as a queer Catawba and the academic and knowledge traditions that have transformed his own work. Through this weaving of artistry and scholarship, he illustrates how his Tribal Nation is reclaiming their language, food, culture and kinship with a deep and abiding love for their land.
