The GamerGate controversy was a symptom of a much larger and pervasive issue in gaming. Our conversation will delve deeply into the challenges of playing in the cis, white, male-dominated world of online gaming. We will also discuss how to find welcoming online communities, changes in gaming and inclusive game recommendations. Joining Felicia Day on the panel will be 3 other gamers with diverse experiences in the online world.

Felicia Day is best known for creating and starring in the web series "The Guild," her role in "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog," and for her recurring roles on "Supernatural" and "The Magicians." Her books "You're Never Weird on the Internet (almost)" and "Embrace Your Weird" were New York Times bestsellers. They cover topics such as her career and the challenges while also describing the creative process and how she battled her anxiety and perfectionism. She streams on Twitch weekly.

This special event is for Dartmouth students and employees. Free, but tickets are required.  Log in to get a ticket.
