Submitting resumes one after another feels like you’re tossing them into some black hole never to hear a response. As Dartmouth students, you have access to one of the strongest alumni networks and can rely on it to help with your job placement/career advice. This 20-minute talk covers how to network with alums, including word-for-word scripts on what to write and how to ask for a job referral. Wanfang Wu is a MEM ’18 and has made over 200 networking calls with alums, resulting in interviews at companies such as Bose, Berkshire Hathaway, Abbott, and startups.
