Please join us on Friday, February 12, 2021, at 3:30 p.m., for a virtual colloquium given by BJ Casey, Professor of Psychology, Yale University.

Title:  Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience in an Age of Discovery

Abstract:  The field of developmental cognitive neuroscience has changed in the 21st century with advances in imaging acquisitions, computational analytics and large open access data sets that are enhancing scientific discovery. Likewise, the brain has evolved over time to meet the unique challenges of each developmental stage to enhance learning and discovery, as well as survival. This presentation will highlight major changes in developmental cognitive neuroscience over the past three decades, focusing largely on the period of adolescence, and how  cognitive neuroscience has informed our understanding of the developing mind and is informing the treatment of the developing versus developed brain in law and medicine.
