Through words and pictures, Chris Myers shines a light toward a moreequitable, diverse and inclusive reality. He’ll read three of those books in this enticing series for a range of ages and answer questions from the audience. 

May 20:In My Pen, Myers uses black-and-white illustrations to show the worlds a kid can create with a simple pen. Ages 3-5.

May 21: Jabberwocky transposes Lewis Carroll’s poem to a basketball court ruled by a fourteen-fingered, slam-dunking beast. Ages 5-9.

May 22:  We Are America, with text by best-selling author Walter Dean Myers (Chris’s dad!), is a tapestry of verse, quotes, and illustrations about America’s history of revolution, progress, and possibility. Ages 7-12.
