The Dartmouth Consortium of Studies in Race, Migration, and Sexuality (RMS) will host a Zoom teach-in on the Coronavirus Pandemic on Monday, 16 March, 2PM to 3.20PM (EST) for the Dartmouth community and beyond. The panelists for this RMS teach-in include Professors Anne Sosin, Center for Global Health Equity Program Director; Tish Lopez and Abby Neely (both Assistant Professors from Geography); Mary Coffey, Art History and Chair of Latin American, Latinx and Caribbean Studies; and moderated by Eng-Beng Lim, Director of RMS, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. The panelists will cover a range of issues, from the science of the disease, the ethics of (unequal) care, the racialized dimensions of the epidemic, and the role of educators in the age of global health crisis. Each presenter will make a short 10-min presentation followed by a Q&A. Most of all, it is also a small gesture of a check-in with the community at large and to share information, resources, support, and kindness. Everyone anywhere is welcome to join this RMS Zoom Teach-in using this link: https://dartmouth.zoom.us/j/7473452717.
