Do you feel like your students are not engaging in course material and no matter how many times you explain certain concepts students just don’t seem to understand? In February's LCFF we will discuss the research on how we learn and how you can make small changes to your daily classes that will boost student learning and comprehension.  Inspiration and organization based on “Small Teaching” by James M. Lang

In order to cultivate a community focused on teaching and learning amongst graduate students and postdocs, DCAL has established a Learning Community for Future Faculty (LCFF). The focus of this group is to share the rewards and challenges of college teaching, while digging a bit deeper into best practices and techniques for teaching.  The LCFF meets monthly - the first Monday for Fall term.
