Home Lost: The First Annual Workshop of the South-South Forum presents a screening of the Syrian film, Haunted (2014). Directed, written and produced by Syrian filmmaker Liwaa Yazji, Haunted is a feature length documentary exploring the Syrian Civil War's reprecussions on residents forced to leave their homes and abandon their family's belongings. Described by the Toronto International Film Festival as, "[an] eloquent meditation on the physical, emotional and psychological toll of displacement", the film focuses on the choices of individuals, asking why they chose stay or to flee, what they chose to carry or to leave behind.

The screening of Haunted begins at 5:00pm in Haldeman Room 041, with a run time of 1 hour and 57 minutes. The film will be followed by question and answer session with the audience, and the event will close with a reception across the hall in Haldeman 031.

This event is free and open to the public.
