Mustang in Black and White captures the area of the Mustang, Nepal in its elemental qualities, revealing the enduring cultural foundations and shifting daily rhythms of Himalayan village life.  Photographer Kevin Bubriski's masterful black-and-white portraits of this place and its people are coupled with Dartmouth anthropologist Sienna Craig's thick descriptions of what is, and is not, seen through the eye of the camera.  In this illustrated journey through Mustang, Craig and Bubriski consider dynamics of change and continuity in a highland Himalayan community.  Part of the Dartmouth Library Book Talk series in Baker-Berry Library.  Reception to follow, and free and open to the public.  [Photo credit Kevin Bubriski.]
