Saturday, February 22
7:00 pm @ the Top of the Hop

Please join playwright Joy Wilkinson and Professor Carolyn Dever for an examination of gender expectations, class disparities, and violence in the parallel universe of Victorian London’s urban underbelly, as well as a discussion of the playwright’s research and creative processes. Joy Wilkinson is an award-winning writer whose work ranges across film, television, theater and radio; her play The Sweet Science of Bruising first opened in London in 2018 and is receiving its American premiere at Dartmouth in February 2020 (performance details and tickets available HERE).
