As tampering with our genetic code moves from speculative fiction to reality, this is an apt time for cinema to revisit the age-old question: What does it mean to be human? In this near-future world, people who are down on their luck can apply for genetic modifications to take on jobs that are difficult or boring and nobody else wants to do. But when two high-end prototypes designed for espionage and counterterrorism escape, their programmer makes a provocative discovery about their code that could change everything.
Q & A follows the film with director Jay Craven.
