Dartmouth Families ... gather your family members and do a good deed!

  • Come help assemble bags of non-perishable food items to be donated to families in need living in the Upper Valley.
  • Families are welcome to drop-in and help for as much time as they can.
  • The “Kearsarge Kares” program is dedicated to helping stop hunger in our community.  Students from low-income families are supported by the school’s free and reduced breakfast and lunch program during the school week.  However, there is an additional need these families face over the weekends and during the summer when school is not in session.
  • The bags of food we assemble will be delivered directly to the students and families.
  • In celebration of the College’s 250th anniversary, we honor Dartmouth's legacy of leadership in public service and goodwill through a far-reaching initiative to inspire acts of service throughout the world. Together, we will answer The Call to Serve by contributing a collective 250,000 hours of service in 2019.
  • Come enjoy some family time and support the Dartmouth Call to Serve initiative!

You can also help by donating food items:  Please drop off non-perishable food items at First-Year Family Weekend check-in tables on Friday, May 3 from 11am - 8pm and Saturday, May 4 from 8am - 4pm at the Collis Center - Common Grounds.  Here's a list of items needed:  breakfast bars, canned or bagged beans, canned beef stew, canned chicken, canned soups, canned tuna, canned pasta sauce, carnation instant breakfast, cereal, hamburger helper, jelly (plastic containers), macaroni and cheese, milk (shelf stable), peanut butter, pizza mix and sauce, pepperoni, popcorn, potatoes, ramen noodles, rice, salad dressing, shake ‘n bake, sloppy joe mix, spaghettios, spaghetti or any dried pasta and any fun snacks are always a hit!
