Jacqueline Wernimont, a new Dartmouth faculty member, and the inaugural bearer of the Distinguished Professorship in Digital Humanities and Social Engagement, presents her new book, Numbered Lives: Life and Death in Quantum Media (MIT Press, 2018), in conversation with Paul Young, Chair of Film and Media Studies.  A scholar and artist, Wernimont's work explores the history of pedometers and other forms of Anglo-American quanitification, and their "entanglement with religious, imperial, and patriarchal paradigms."  Free and open to the public.  Please join us!
