This presentation aims to illustrate how the social determinants of health become important as they relate to children exploitation and the mental health of victims. The audience will be able to familiarize with the issue of child trafficking in the United States, identify vulnerable populations at risk of being trafficked and recognize red flags in potential victims of child trafficking presenting for healthcare. The speaker will share individual lessons learned from personally assessing victims.
