Hear about Shannon's experience researching in the Earth Sciences Department under the Women in Science Project during her first year at Dartmouth and her trip to the Google Office in Dublin, Ireland for the 2018 Earth Engine User Summit. There, she learned more about what people are using the tool for and met some amazing and accomplished people, especially women in the tech and science fields.

 

About Shannon:

Shannon Sartain is a '21 from Long Island, NY. She has researched in the Earth Sciences department since last Winter, where she did so through the Women in Science Project. She plans to be an Environmental Earth Sciences major, possibly modified with Engineering or Geography. On campus, Shannon is a UGA for first-year students and loves to hike with Cabin and Trail.
