On March 13-23, Professors Dirk Vandewalle (Dartmouth, Government), and April Salas (Tuck’s Revers Center for Energy) led a group of 24 Tuck students across six cities in 10 days, exploring the energy innovation ecosystem in Morocco, as a part of Tuck’s Global Insight Expedition (GIX) course. Morocco was the host of the 2016 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference, and the 22nd Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP22) in Marrakesh. Hosting the conference was yet another signal of the country’s increasing commitment to transitioning to a clean energy economy. Join us for a discussion around the course themes and general takeaways as we explored the duality of a country adopting aggressive clean energy targets, the challenges and opportunities they faced, and how we explored the distinctive business and social culture rooted in tradition and norms. Presentation and discussion led by April Salas, Executive Director, Revers Center for Energy.
