What does it mean to be human in an age of technology? How does technology condition our view of the world? What can transhumanism tell us about these questions? Join us for a talk exploring the transhumanist movement and what it reveals about the role technology plays in shaping religious imagination and the human quest for transcendence.

Albert R. Antosca is an interdisciplinary scholar exploring big questions concerning technology, culture, and the human condition. His doctoral work focused on the philosophy of technology, transhumanism, and the human-technology relationship. His recent article published in Slate explores the interface between technology and religion. He will be at Dartmouth starting this summer as a Visiting Scholar at the Leslie Center for the Humanities.
