~~States often use regulatory, administrative and legislative efforts to promote health.  Using two examples, we will address the methods used in the process, look at the outcomes achieved and discuss challenges associated with State led preventive medicine efforts.

~~Hope Plavin, MPA, MHCDS, is a senior consultant where she has 34 years of experience with health system planning, design and implementation. She is  continuing her focus on health system redesign as a consultant for “health management associates” assisting states, hospitals and communities to redesign systems  to achieve enhanced integration and coordination to better serve individuals and improve health outcomes.
