Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman plays real-life superhero Thurgood Marshall, the civil rights lawyer who became the first African American Supreme Court justice. This taut courtroom drama looks at an early case in Marshall’s career, a decade before Brown v. Board of Education. With the help of Sam Friedman (Josh Gad), a young lawyer with no experience in criminal law, Marshall takes on the case of black chauffeur Joseph Spell (Sterling K. Brown), accused by his white employer, Eleanor Strubing (Kate Hudson), of sexual assault and attempted murder. D: Reginald Hudlin, US, 2017, Runtime: 2h
