Reserve this weekend for an innovative collaboration between two Hop Ensembles, at two ends of the Hop! The Dartmouth Symphony Orchestra and the Dartmouth Dance Ensemble perform Stravinsky’s classic ballet Petrushka, with thrilling new choreography by DDE Director John Heginbotham and Choreographer-in-Residence Rebecca Stenn. Linked through technology and big-screen video projection, the DSO in Spaulding Auditorium and the DDE in The Moore Theater unite to realize this iconic work: audiences in each venue experience the art and performance of both ensembles! Each ensemble rounds out the evening by performing its own lively set of discrete works—so attend both nights and visit both venues, to get the full effect!
