Pintér joins faculty to discuss German, Hungarian and Russian culture under 20th century Communism, including government surveillance, censorship, samizdat and the fetishization of folk traditions. Co-sponsored by the Dickey Center and the Hopkins Center for the Arts.

The panel discussion will be followed by a reception and exhibit of photos in the Haldeman Center's Russo Gallery by Norwich, VT photographer Seth Goodwin. Goodwin's "Images from the Soviet Union, 1988" will be on display from January 9th - January 18th.
