Religion on the March: A Film Screening and Panel Discussion about Religion & Civil Rights

Professor Susannah Heschel (Eli Black Professor of Jewish Studies) Dartmouth, and Alumni Andre Hunter '83 and Kelly Fowler Hunter '83, will host a screening of the documentary film,  "Joachim Prinz: I Shall Not Be Silent," on Tuesday, January 24 at 6:00 PM. Andre and Kelly Hunter are executive producers of the film. Watch the trailer here

"Joachim Prinz: I Shall Not Be Silent," tells the story of the rabbi and civil rights leader who spoke at the March on Washington just prior to Martin Luther King, Jr. and was himself a refugee from Nazi Germany. 

 Following the screening, Professor Heschel  will moderate a discussion about religion and civil rights yesterday and today with Professor Vaughn Booker (Research Associate, Dartmouth Religion and African American Studies Departments) and Professor Donald Pease (Professor of English, Comparative Literature and The Ted and Helen Geisel Third Century Professor in the Humanities.)
