Join us as designer and printer Ron Gordon of Oliphant Press gives what he calls a kind of a pep talk for anyone who works with type. There will be lots of slides, beautiful, sometimes funny, shown quickly with his fabulous commentary. Ron will talk about the physicality of type (from ancient times through the letterpress era, a physicality that type no longer has); and about the “spiritual” side of type, that is, a type’s connotations, its emotional attributes, its “attitude.”
