Medicine Grand Rounds on Friday, August 5, 2016 for the presentation titled:
“Catching up with Stroke Standard of Care”
Objectives – Participants will be able to:
1. Summarize current guidelines for primary and secondary stroke prevention.
2. Recommend best practice for stroke care
3. Describe current institutional efforts to improve stroke care.
Dr. Diana M. Rojas-Soto received her medical degree from the University El Bosque, Bogotá Colombia. She worked as a primary care physician, emergency medicine physician, and co-founder and Clinical Director of The Specialist Center for Alzheimer’s Disease in Bogotá. She then served as a research fellow at the Center for Neuromagnetism and the Silberstein Institute for Aging and Dementia at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Rojas-Soto completed her Neurology residency and a fellowship in Cerebrovascular Disease at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn NY. She is board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology and joined the DHMC staff as a Vascular Neurologist in 2015.
