Charismatic, award-winning singer-songwriter Redbone enthralled us in 2014 with soulful original music drawing on her combined Native American, African American and Appalachian heritage. She and her acoustic band return with a highly anticipated new song cycle that digs deep into her family story from Kentucky’s Harlan County—a uniquely American tale encompassing Jim Crow and coal mines, Cherokee chants and gospel shouts, channeled through Redbone’s stirring voice.
