THE HUMANITIES SUMMIT: Re-Framing the Discussion: A Roundtable
Presenters: Meaghan Morris, Walter Mignolo, Lawrence Kritzman, Ivy Schweitzer, Adrian Randolph, Colleen Boggs
Recent reports on the Humanities (issued by Harvard College and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences) set the terms for a discussion of the future of the humanities within a national framework and one that to some has appeared rather defensive. With this Summit, we would like to engage in a discussion about the larger, global landscape for the Humanities, both as a field both of study and research. To that end, we have invited several prominent speakers, whose work has and continues to transform what the Humanities means.
