Join Laura Di Piazza, Sarah Smith, and Morgan Swan at Rauner Library in Webster Hall for a discussion and exploration of how handwriting has evolved over the last millennium.
Participants will be able to interact with real-life examples of scripts written during the Carolingian period (circa 800 AD) all the way up to modern times. Also, attendees will have a chance to learn more about an upcoming calligraphy course sponsored by the Book Arts Workshop and taught by Laura Di Piazza. Given that seating is limited, please send an e-mail reserving your spot to Morgan Swan at [email protected].
Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
