"The Occom Circle Project"

A look inside a new project at Rauner Special Collections Library to digitize and preserve the correspondence of The Reverend Samson Occom.

Samson Occom, a Mohegan Indian, was the student of Dartmouth College founder Eleazer Wheelock.  Occom's works are the largest surviving archive produced by an American Indian before the early 20th century.  This project is supported by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

Reception to follow in Baker Main Hall.
