Digital Domains: Remote Sensing of Past Human Landscapes
Digital Domains will bring together an international group of scholars to share research that engages the past through remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
The Digital Domains workshop is a three-day event that will bring together archaeologists, engineers, and computer scientists from the US, Mexico, and Europe to share research that reconstructs and engages archaeological landscapes through remote sensing and GIS. Academic papers will be presented from 9 - 4 on 2/21 and 3/22. Poster presentations from students and scholars who use computing to reconstruct, visualize, and analyze past and present environments will be displayed during afternoon and evening receptions. Attendance is free and open to the academic community.
Digital Domains is sponsored by the Neukom Institute of Computational Science. Register through the Digital Domains website http://sites.dartmouth.edu/digital-domains/ or contact Jason Herrmann directly before February 3rd to submit a poster abstract or to request more information.
