Help fight hunger by attending a benefit concert for Willing Hands, a local non-profit which delivers about 4 tons of wholesome food to our neighbors in need each week.
Due to recently flash flooding in the Upper Valley, more people are relying on food pantries for help. In addition to making donations directly to food pantries to help Listen, the Haven, and others keep up with demand, you can help by joining us at a benefit concert for Willing Hands, a local non-profit organization which delivers about 4 tons of wholesome food to our neighbors in need each week. Every week, year round and free of charge, Willing Hands delivers to nearly 60 organizations serving our neighbors in need.
This Friday, July 19th, at 6:30 p.m., several artists from Opera North will perform a concert to benefit Willing Hands. The concert will take place at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 5 Summer Street, Hanover. (You can get directions to the church here.)
Preceding the concert Dartmouth’s Students Fighting Hunger [SFH] offer the regularly scheduled Friday 5:15 dinners to the community, including Appalachian Trail thru-hikers. SFH and the community benefits greatly from Willing Hands. If you’d like to get a taste of what the students are preparing, stop by for dinner at 5:15 on Friday.
Gather to socialize and to enjoy cookies, iced tea, and lemonade from 6:00 to 6:30. The concert will begin at 6:30. A free-will offering will be collected. We invite you to join us for this musical feast, made possible by Opera North. We also thank the Upper Valley Music Center for the long-term loan of the grand piano which accompany Opera North’s artists.
Invite a friend – it is going to be a great musical gathering! Come support this great collaboration between SFH, Opera North, and OLSC to benefit the outreach of Willing Hands.
Concert co-hosted by Dartmouth Students Fighting Hunger and Our Savior Lutheran Church & Campus Ministry
Events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
