Kai Sun is a Fulbright Visiting Research Scholar and Professor in the School of Law and Political Science at Ocean University of China. He is a Taishan Scholar of Shandong Province. His scholarship focuses on Arctic governance and China’s growing interest in Arctic policy and diplomacy issues, particularly around climate change, environmental protection, and economic opportunity. His publications appear in Asia Policy, The New York Times, and many journals in Chinese. His Fulbright Research Project focuses on the Evolution of U.S. Arctic Policy and Implications for U.S.-China Cooperation in the Arctic.
