Tim Healy D’91, T’02 is an experienced Executive Chairman & CEO with a demonstrated history of working in the information technology, energy, and managed services industry. He has a substantial background in public markets leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, finance, cleantech, global energy markets, and mergers & acquisitions.

Tim co-founded EnerNOC in 2001 and served as its Chairman and CEO until its sale to Enel in 2017.  Prior to EnerNOC, Tim worked in the Energy Technology Laboratory for Northern Power Systems, and held positions with Merrill Lynch, International Fuel Cells (then a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation), and the venture capital firm Commonwealth Capital Ventures. Tim currently sits on Board of Directors of the Advanced Energy Economy (AEE), the Northeast Clean Energy Council (NECEC), the Boston Green Ribbon Commission (GRC), and the Board of Trustees for the New England Aquarium, and formerly served on TechNet's Executive Committee and on the Board of Directors of Genability, Inc. and WeSpire, Inc.  He is an advisor to several privately held growth companies.   

Tim graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in Government modified with Economics, and received an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

In his nearly seventeen years at the helm of EnerNOC, Tim led its growth from a promising clean energy startup to a publicly-traded energy management leader, culminating in its combination with the global energy company Enel. Under Tim's leadership, EnerNOC made 19 acquisitions and six divestitures, raised over $300M in debt and equity capital, and employed over 3,500 employees cumulatively.  EnerNOC was routinely named to the annual "Best Places to Work" lists from the Boston Globe, Boston Business Journal and other outlets, while it delivered nearly $2 billion in savings directly to its customers and billions more of economic impact indirectly through reduced energy prices from contributions of its energy management and demand response programs to the nation's energy supply mix. In 2012, Tim was named "CEO of the Year" by the Mass Technology Leadership Council.

Tim has played an instrumental role in the clean energy industry and the Northeast region's business community. He has mentored dozens of clean energy leaders building exciting new ventures and has supported hundreds of next generation jobseekers entering the industry from top universities, incubators, and the innovation ecosystem. Tim has been a leading voice in promoting clean energy and innovation policy at the state and federal levels. In 2016, EnerNOC won a U.S. Supreme Court case (http://www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/enernoc-inc-v-electric-power-supply-association/) in which Tim Healy personally asked John Podesta to have President Obama request that the Solicitor General of the United States appeal to the US Supreme Court to hear the case.
