Abstract: Determining the nature and origin of dark matter is one of the most important goals of particle physics.  Substantial experimental and theoretical progress will continue to be made over the next several years using complimentary laboratory, astrophysical, and cosmological probes.  I give an overview of the current evidence for dark matter and what clues this provides.  I then delve into the various techniques for detecting dark matter and the new, well-motivated models that require twists on these classic techniques.  I discuss in detail the program I am developing for detecting sources of boosted dark matter, which is produced at velocities much larger than the typical velocity of ambient Milky Way dark matter.
