Cleaning, structuring, and visualizing data are important steps in the research process, helping us to understand and share the data we have collected. In this hands-on workshop, we will practice these skills by tidying and visualizing "messy" datasets using the free tools OpenRefine and Tableau Public. No prior experience with these tools is required. Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their own devices. We want to get started right away, so please install the following on your device prior to the workshop:
