From a comically brutal soccer game on the Island of Naboombo to dancing on “Portabello Road,” to the battlefield with “Substitutiary Locomotion,” this beloved classic musical is a magical journey for all ages.

When three young children move to a small English village to escape the Blitz, they discover their host, Miss Price (Angela Lansbury), is an apprentice witch! Although her early attempts at magic create hilarious results, she successfully casts a traveling spell on an ordinary bedknob, which they use to find the professor (David Tomlinson) supposedly running the correspondence course in witchcraft. He turns out to be a cynical conman, but he agrees to join their quest to find the powerful spell they need to save Britain! D: Robert Stevenson, US, 1971, 1h 57
