Fatima is an outgoing teenager who happens to have been born in Egypt to a Muslim family. As her school’s only “jabber”—someone who wears a hijabor headscarf—she feels marginalized. So does Jorah, a boy whose father is in prison. As their relationship grows, this fast-paced drama offers fresh insights into teens’ social media behavior and how they—and all of us—judge each other based on culture and class.
