Please join the Division of Biomedical Informatics in the Dept. of Biomedical Data Science for a virtual presentation of the ESRI Big Data Tools scheduled for Friday, February 17th, 2017 in Williamson 373 at 12pm – 1pm. Mansour Raad, a Senior Software Architect at ESRI who specializes in Big Data GIS applications, will provide a presentation on the ArcGIS server framework built upon a Hadoop Cluster platform. During this presentation he will demo an example application that uses the Apache Accumulo key store to secure protected health data. Additionally, he will demo an example ArcGIS tool script that has been enhanced using Apache Spark.
