Bill Fitzhugh, Department of Anthropology & Smithsonian Institution, talks about the Labrador Institute of Northern Studies in Goose Bay, Canada, an arm of Newfoundland's Memorial University and the 'Labrador Research Forum' held on 16-18 February, 2017. 

The conference agenda is quite open but will include presentations on environmental studies, anthropology, archaeology, climate change impacts, fisheries, art, health, and history. Students are welcome. Information and registration information can be found at:  

The forum is an excellent opportunity for students interested in exploring research and training possibilities, meeting Labrador Inuit and researchers currently working there, and connecting with fieldwork projects.
