Join Michael Burton, the Director of the University Press of New England (UPNE), and Richard Pult, Acquisitions Editor at UPNE, along with faculty with book publishing experience, for a seminar on trends in scholarly monograph publishing. Hear about ways the work of faculty authors can be published in the traditional print monograph and also made more broadly available in digital forms. Examples include partnerships between the Library and UPNE, and new initiatives such as Knowledge Unlatched, Open Humanities Press, and Luminos. This is Part 1 of a two-part seminar on the current state of monograph publishing. In the second part of the series, offered in November, we will discuss the nuts and bolts of publishing contracts and rights retention.  We hope you will join us!    Lunch provided so please register here: http://libcal.dartmouth.edu/event/2858556
