Professor Thomas Doherty will be giving a talk on his most recent book "Hitler and Hollywood, 1933 - 1939".  His book has received favorable press from the New Yorker and the New York Times.

Currently, Thomas Doherty is a professor of American Studies and chair of the American Studies Program at Brandeis University.   Furthermore, Professor Doherty is a cultural historian with a special interest in Hollywood cinema.  In addition, Doherty is an associate editor for the film magazine Cineaste as well as a film review editor for the Journal of American History.

This talk is free and open to the public.  It is co-sponsored by the Leslie Center for the Humanities, Rockefeller Center, and the Departments of Film and Media Studies, German Studies, and the Program in Comparative Literature.
