May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM). In celebration, the Pan Asian Council in partnership with the Office of Pan Asian Student Advising would like to invite you to our inaugural event and opening reception on Wednesday, May 1st from 7-9pm in Moore Hall. To start, we'll hear a keynote address from West Point graduate and Iraq war veteran, Lt. Dan Choi. In 2003, Choi was discharged from the U.S. Army for saying three words: "I am gay." On May 1st he will tell his story exploring the many intersections of his identity as well as chronicling his role in leadership for social change, working towards the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell". We hope you can join us for this exciting event! Please also visit our website for more information about all of our programming throughout the month of May, as we strive to educate and activate the Dartmouth community around Asian Pacific American cultures, histories, and identities during APAHM.

APAHM Keynote by Lt. Dan Choi Wednesday, May 1, 2013 -- 7PM Filene Auditorium, Moore Hall Free and open to the public.
